I-75 Sarasota County

A monitoring survey was conducted for the Interstate-75
(I-75) resurfacing project, as required by the State of Florida Department of Transportation (DOT) Contract Plans. A pre-construction survey was provided to address the potential presence of Southern bald eagle and Florida sandhill crane, which may occur and nest within or adjacent to the proposed project. The project limits are located along I-75(S.R. 93) from the southbound off ramp of State Road 681 (S.R. 681) north to the University Parkway overpass. The survey included the immediate roadway and a buffer area extending outward from the right-of-way approximately 700 feet. The road improvements include milling and repaving of the existing black top.
